Study Reveals the Number of Diabetic Children Continues to Increase Year Over Year

A recent study found that the incidence of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in children and adolescents rose from 2002-2018 and continues to trend upwards. In this video I explore why that might be and what we can do to try to improve the health of our children here in America.

Added Sugar In Food | How Much Do You Consume? | Reduce or Eliminate NOW to Better Your Health

Added sugar is in many products that you might not even realize. In this video I have a few ziploc bags containing the amount of added sugar in various foods and beverages, some of which might shock you! If you consume any of these it would be best to eliminate or substitute them if you can. Added sugar consumption can lead to a host of health problems and stubborn belly fat if left unchecked. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends no more than 10% of your daily calories coming from added sugar each day, which is around 50 grams if you consume 2000 calories. Make sure you keep this video in mind when you go shopping and plan your meals, read those food labels and improve your health!

Pandemic Era SNAP Benefits Ending | The Government Won’t Save You – Become More Self Sufficient NOW!

Additional SNAP benefits that were introduced during the pandemic are set to expire (or already have) which will affect millions of Americans who depend on the extra money for food. What can we do about it? In this video I give my thoughts on this. For one, the government is not coming to save any of us. We need to foster a self sufficient mind set as much as possible. That might not necessarily mean going full off grid, it could be just growing your own tomatoes this year. The other is saving money when you shop. Go into the store with a list of ingredients for meals you will make each day. Don’t shop based off emotion, go in with a plan. Ultimately, it’s up to us to be proactive and do what we need to in order to feed ourselves and our families and give back to our communities. Get on it!
